Series 3 - TEXTURE:
Questions:
1. My photographs were taken of Somerset on the field trip. They share a common sense of the identity of Somerset. Most show the nature of Somerset, and some include people and historical places.
2. Some of my photographs include historical places and houses, these places have transformed through out the years. they were an integral part of Somerset since the town's beginnings. They have transformed from the best, most prominent houses in Somerset into the oldest my historical houses in Somerset.
3. In the photo of the granite looking post with the large white house in the background was composed specifically to show the history of the house. The post says: "Cerca 1742". This shows how old the town of Somerset and it's houses really are. I composed the shot using the zoom lense, and kept the post in focus while the house fell blurry in the background.
The photograph showing Anna's grandfather reading the paper while finishing his breakfast shows the culture of many people of Somerset. Many elderly people living in Somerset may share this same morning routine many days of the week. The gorgeous lighting shining through the window highlights the beauty of the calmness of the picture, I framed the picture to include his hands, the paper, the cereal bowl, and the plant.
