Shutter Speed:
Reflection:
Fast Shutter Speed (Pic 4):
I used a shutter speed of approximately 1/1000. Kelsey and I used a tripod. We shot each other moving around with some props and froze action with a fast shutter speed. The camera was about 15 feet in front of the subject, shooting front straight ahead. The outside light coming from the window to the right side of the subject created a great lighting for the pictures. The subject was always the positive space and the background (wall) was the negative space. The strong, bright colors of my 80's day outfit strengthened the photo.
Slow Shutter Speed (Pic 5):
I used a shutter speed of about 1/14 to purposely blur motion. The orange scarf shows the blur in the photo. The camera was about 15 feet in front of the subject, shooting front straight ahead. The outside light coming from the window to the right side of the subject created a great lighting for the pictures. The subject was always the positive space and the background (wall) was the negative space. The bright orange scarf was a great pop of color for the picture. It acts as the focal point of the photo and draws your eyes to the blur. It contrasts the blur of the scarf with the stillness of the rest of the photo.
