Motion
Reflections: For the third picture the shutter speed was approximately 1/1000. This is a fast shutter speed and capture the motion. It sort of 'freezed' the action. The action we froze was Bre throwing a ball at me. The picture was taken right before the ball hit me. The camera was about 10 feet in front of the subject, shooting straight on. Many elements were used in this picture. these include the rule of thirds, repetition, line, shape, and pattern.
The second picture is a lovely example of blur. It has a slow shutter speed of about 1/60. The image is capturing Jess running across the courtyard. the background is still and sharp, while Jess is blurred as she dashes across, showing blur. I was about 15 feet away, shooting directly at Jess and using a tripod. This photo uses line, pattern, shape, and negative space.
