Depth of Field
The first three pictures were taken in class of three small windup toys. To create a shallow depth of field I used a small number f-stop (f4) with a large opening. To create a large depth of field I used a larger number f-stop (f18)to make a smaller opening. To change the focus in the photograph I twisted and adjusted the front piece of the camera.
The first two of the three photos I took were of my backyard. I live on the water and it is the perfect scene to photograph. The first photo represents foreground middleground background. The tree in the front is in the foreground. The water is in the middleground. The background is the horizon line of trees and a few houses. My first example for foreground middle background, shows a large depth of field where everything is in focus.
